Meet the Team!

Melanie Fernandez, M.S., BCBA

President and Founder

Melanie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and founder and director of Behavior Dynamics. She received her Master’s of Science Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Kaplan University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida International University.

Ever since a young age, Melanie knew she was destined to work with children and make a difference in the world. After resigning from her part time college job, Melanie began working with children on the Autism Spectrum in 2009 after taking an introductory Behavior Analysis class and immediately fell in love with the children and the profession. Since then, she has had the privilege of working with numerous children of various ethnicities, backgrounds, and related disorders (including ADHD, PDD-NOS, Developmental Delay) as well as typical children exhibiting maladaptive behaviors in therapy centers, family homes, and schools throughout the communities of South Florida. Melanie has enjoyed her time in the field and becoming part of each child's family and joining their journey through ABA. As a parent, herself, Melanie treats each client as if they were her own child, with love, respect and admiration.

Melanie specializes in the evaluation, development, implementation, and supervision of Verbal Behavior Programs including language (ability to communicate wants & needs), academic (Math, Reading & Writing), social, play (independent and group), self-help and daily living skills as well as behavior reduction for children as young as 2 years old through 12 years old. Melanie also conducts parent, family, staff and therapist training. Melanie has also enjoyed much success in the implementation of feeding programs for children with limited intake due to selectivity or behavioral concerns, and toilet training programs for children as young as 20 months.

Melanie's ultimate goal is for each and every one of the children she works with to afford a positive life experience.
